Intensive examination

To understand trees, you have to listen to them. Trees react to external influences. They measure your surface tension and reduce tension peaks through targeted growth. Ingenious. Knowledge that we make use of today in the construction of components.

These reactions must be recognised through precise observations. Prof. Dr. Claus Mattheck observed the nature of trees closely and developed the VTA method with words and pictures. A natural and practical method to understand the laws of nature.

From the visual findings of the tree inspection, the need for detailed examination may arise. Detected defects are assigned, confirmed, measured and assessed. The assessment is then made on the basis of this data and all other information, especially vitality.

Wood value

We determine the value of woody plants according to the "Koch method". On 25 January 2013, the Federal Supreme Court referred to the Koch method and confirmed its suitability not only for destroyed woody plants but also for damaged woody plants. In principle, in the event of damage to an object, e.g. a plot of land, compensation is to be paid through restoration or through replacement of the monetary amount required for this purpose. In this case, replacement of the existing size of the trees is often impossible, as it would involve disproportionate costs. Therefore, in the case of damaged woody plants, the necessary treatments (immediate and later) and the reduction in value are calculated.

The value of woody plants is made up of various items: Woody plant costs, planting work, growing care, growing risk, production costs, maintenance costs and reductions in value. These factors result in the property value of the woody plant prior to the damage event. Subsequently, calculations of the damage and care measures, as well as the costs of the expert opinion, result in the amount of damage.
